If you shop online in the UAE, you’ve probably used a coupon code at least once. And you’ve probably heard of cashback. What most people don’t realise is that these two aren’t an either/or choice — used in the right order, they stack on the same order, and you save twice.

Here’s how each one works, and how to combine them.

What a coupon code actually does

A coupon code is an instant discount applied at checkout. You enter it in the promo box, the order total drops, and you pay the lower amount right away. Coupons are best for:

  • A fixed amount off (e.g. AED 50 off AED 200)
  • A percentage discount (e.g. 15% off your order)
  • Free or discounted delivery
  • Bundle and first-order offers

The catch: codes expire, and stores quietly rotate them. A code that worked last month may be dead today — which is exactly why a regularly updated coupon site matters more than a random Google search.
